A Takeout Shop for Wheat-Free Japanese Rice Dumplings

つづみ団子 戸越銀座店のわらびもち 【東京・品川 戸越銀座】

Tsuzumi Dango is a takeout-only Japanese sweets shop specializing in traditional treats such as dango and ohagi, with many locations throughout Japan.

Although it is not a dedicated gluten-free shop, the warabi mochi and ohagi did not contain wheat, so I decided to try one.
Since I can't eat a large amount at once, I limited myself to one skewer. The warabi mochi was pleasantly chewy with a refreshing texture and a mildly sweet flavor.

Of course, I also wanted to try the ohagi, but since this was only the first gluten-free-friendly shop I visited in Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street, I decided to save it for another time.
Moments like this make me wish I could eat more(´エ`;)…

In addition to the Togoshi Ginza location, Tsuzumi Dango also has stores at Komagome Station East Exit (Kiosk), Toyoda in Hino City, Hachioji, and inside Urawa Station. It appears that their sweets can also be purchased in Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Kobe, including at their main store in Isahaya, Nagasaki.

**Please note: If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please check with the restaurant in advance, including the possibility of cross-contact.
