A Gluten-Free Shop with Health Department Test Results Displayed
Just a 5-minute walk from the west exit of Fussa Station, gluten-free sweets mug is a small, cozy shop that you’ll find on the right as you walk straight from the station.
The owner has a wheat allergy, so everything sold in the shop is gluten-free and made without wheat. There is also a test result displayed on the wall from an inspection by the local health authorities, showing no detectable wheat reaction.
The shop is currently open Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
**Opening hours may change, so please check the official website for the latest information.
It’s mainly a takeout shop, but there is also a small seating area for 3–4 people where you can enjoy your sweets with a cup of coffee.

Inside, you’ll find lots of cute gluten-free treats, including gateau chocolat, cheesecake, muffins, and cookies. They also sell savory items such as pizza-flavored and okonomiyaki-flavored cakes salés, which would make a great snack or light lunch.
This time, I tried the gateau chocolat, and it was so delicious that my husband and I ended up fighting over the last bites of one cake’ヮ’)。!
I also bought three muffins and a pizza-flavored cake salé to take home. I reheated them in a frying pan, and everything was delicious.
My personal favorites were the pizza-flavored cake salé and the fig and salted walnut muffin. I think I especially liked them because I enjoy foods with a subtle salty flavor.
My family, on the other hand, loved the gateau chocolat.
If Fussa is too far for you, the shop also has an online store, so you can order their sweets for delivery.
They offer a variety of gluten-free treats, including rice-flour chiffon cakes, muffins, cakes made without butter or white sugar, pound cakes, and cookies.
Everything I tried was delicious. If you’re looking for gluten-free sweets in Japan, this little shop is definitely worth checking out!
