Located about a 7-minute walk from Naka-Meguro Station in Tokyo, MILLER CAKE STORE is a small shop inside an apartment building. They sell gluten-free bread and cakes made without wheat flour.

Because the shop is inside an apartment building, you need to use the intercom at the entrance and call Room 201 to have the door unlocked.
Once the door is unlocked, take the elevator to the second floor. When you get off, look for the blue-green door on the left. That's MILLER CAKE STORE.
Press the doorbell and the owner will come out. He was very kind and took the time to answer my questions.
The small display case has a variety of gluten-free treats, including croissants, roll cakes, raisin sandwiches, cream puffs, scones, gateau chocolat, and pound cakes.
Everything is made without wheat and is gluten-free. The owner also told me that they do not bring wheat into the shop, and that the shop can accommodate people with wheat allergies.
This time, I bought four items: a regular croissant, a salted croissant, a rum raisin butter sandwich, and a cream puff.
The regular croissant is made with rice flour, so it doesn't have the same flaky layers as a regular wheat croissant. But the flavor, toasted surface, and crispy texture are surprisingly close to a traditional croissant. The salted croissant was also good, but I definitely preferred the regular one 'ヮ').
The cream puff and rum raisin butter sandwich were both lightly sweet and delicious. I especially liked the cookie part of the rum raisin butter sandwich! I accidentally ate it before taking a photo, so I don't have a picture to show you. If you're interested, give it a try.
The sweets are not overly sweet, perhaps because they don't use white sugar, so they are easy to enjoy even if you don't have much of a sweet tooth.
**One small thing to keep in mind: when you leave the apartment building, the entrance door will be locked. Press the button on the wall to the right to unlock it.
