Tokyo’s Amy’s Bakeshop, about a 3-minute walk from Kichijoji Station, is a popular spot for American-style baked goods. The shop specializes in sweets based on traditional American home baking, such as muffins, scones, and pound cakes, combined with delicate French pastry techniques. Originally located in Nishi-Ogikubo, it moved to its current location near Tokyu Department Store in Kichijoji in January 2026.

While taking a weekend stroll around Kichijoji, I spotted some delicious-looking gluten-free cookies at Amy’s Bakeshop. 'ヮ')!
These tiny, tablet-shaped cookies come in four varieties. The “Crunchy” flavor was not available on the day of my visit, so I purchased these three:
・Macadamia & Cashew
・Pecan & Chocolate
・Cinnamon & White Chocolate
Since the shop was very busy during my weekend visit, I decided to skip the café. However, I was told that these cookies can also be enjoyed with a drink at the café.
Each cookie has its own distinctive, rich flavor. The flavors of the nuts and cinnamon are packed into each small bite. I think they would pair especially well with a strong cup of coffee, making for a satisfying little treat. They have a delicate texture that almost melts in your mouth.
If you come across these cute little cookies at Amy’s Bakeshop, I recommend giving them a try.
I bought the three varieties in individual packages for myself, but boxed versions are also available, which would make a nice gift or souvenir. They are said to keep for around two months when stored at a cool room temperature, so they could also make a thoughtful gift for someone who follows a gluten-free lifestyle.
