Located just down the hill from Haruhino Station in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, mukavapaikka COFFEE is a café where everything on the menu is made without wheat, including pizza toast, lunch dishes, and sweets such as pound cakes.
I happened to stop by this café when I was heading toward Machida. I ordered pizza toast and a banana pound cake.
Although it is just a short walk from the station, the café is in a quiet residential area, making it a relaxing and comfortable place to spend some time. Some customers were quietly reading books, while others were chatting with friends. It had a very peaceful atmosphere.
There is also a terrace in front of the café, where it looks like you can enjoy lunch with your dog.
I also asked the staff directly, and they confirmed that all of the menu items, including the seasonings, are made without wheat.
The menu includes rice flour pizza, ciabatta sandwiches, pasta, curry, toast, meatballs, doria, and more.
It's quite a selection for a café where everything is gluten-free.
The banana and carrot pound cakes are available in both a larger size and a small cupcake-sized portion, so you can choose depending on how hungry you are. The larger size is quite generous!
The pizza is served as a toast-style pizza, with a generous serving of salad on the side, making it a nice option for lunch.Next time, I'm not sure whether I should try the curry or the pasta. There are still plenty of things I'd like to try, so I hope you'll stop by if you're in the area.
