Located just a minute from Bakuro-Yokoyama Station in Tokyo's Nihonbashi area, Sankaku is a small café that opens only on Friday and Saturday afternoons. It is known for cakes made mainly with rice flour. The café has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, and the selection usually includes pound cake, brownies, cheesecake, muffins, carrot cake, chocolate cake, and other seasonal bakes. The cakes are so well made that you might not guess they are made mainly with rice flour unless you were told.

The selection changes regularly depending on the season and the fruit available, so there is always something different to look forward to. Takeaway is also available, and many customers stop by earlier in the day to pick up cakes before they sell out.
On this visit, we tried the banana and coconut loaf cake and the mango cake. As the cakes are sweetened without refined white sugar, they have a gentle sweetness that lets the other flavors stand out.
From pumpkin cake in autumn to sakura cake in spring, the seasonal menu changes throughout the year. If you're visiting the Nihonbashi area, it's a lovely place to stop for a slice of cake and a quiet break.
The online shop also offers a variety of baked treats, including a monthly baked goods subscription and assorted seasonal sweets.
Please note: The scones contain wheat. As the café closes once everything has sold out, visiting earlier in the day is recommended. Some products may also be prepared in an environment where wheat is handled. If you have a wheat allergy or celiac disease, it's best to contact the café directly before your visit.

**Please note: If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please check with the restaurant in advance, including the possibility of cross-contact.
