Takano Fruit Parlour Atre Kichijoji is located on the 1st floor of the main building of Atre Kichijoji, just a one-minute walk from Kichijoji Station in Tokyo. While it is not a gluten-free specialty shop, some menu items include parfaits and purin à la mode made with delicious Japanese fruit.
**Allergen information is not publicly available, so if you have a severe allergy or follow strict dietary restrictions, we recommend contacting the store directly before your visit.

This time, I visited the Kichijoji location to celebrate Takano Fruit Parlour’s 100th anniversary. The Kichijoji store opened in October 2024, and this was my first visit.
Every year, my family celebrates birthdays at Takano. We usually don’t buy a whole cake because we wouldn’t be able to finish it. Instead, we either make a small cake at home or have a parfait at Takano.
For this birthday visit, I chose the 100th anniversary menu, the “Takano Selection Parfait: Seasonal Fruits — Muskmelon, Peach & Watermelon.” It is made mostly with fresh fruit, so it does not contain wheat.**However, Takano Fruit Parlour does not advertise this as a gluten-free menu.
The Japanese fruit used in the parfait was very sweet and delicious!
Parfaits overseas often feature ice cream or cream as the main element, while Japanese parfaits tend to put the fruit at the center. The presentation is also delicate and beautifully arranged.
If you are visiting Japan, I would definitely recommend trying a fruit parfait at Takano Fruit Parlour.

When I contacted Takano about allergies, they explained that they wash the cutting boards and utensils, but because various types of fruit are handled in the same environment, completely eliminating traces or preventing minute cross-contact may be difficult. Please take this into consideration when deciding whether the menu is suitable for you.
**Please note: If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please check with the restaurant in advance, including the possibility of cross-contact.
